Do you want to eat oats because they are healthy but simply hate breakfast oat dishes like porridge? If yes, then this is the dish for you! You can make this SAVORY dish for either lunch or dinner. It is full of flavors and spices, I bet you won't even notice if there are oats in it (at least my husband couldn't). This dish comes together in about 20 minutes and it is super easy to make with all pantry ingredients.

Masala Oats Recipe
Prep Time: 5 min | Cook Time: 15 min | Total Time: 20-25 min
Serving Size: 2
Ingredients:
1 cup oats (I used old-fashioned oats)
1/2 cup Yogurt
4 cups water
1 cup mixed vegetables
1/2 small size onion chopped
1/3 cup chopped green pepper
3-4 curry leaves
1tbsp ginger paste
1/2 tsp green chili paste
1 tsp cumin seeds
2-3 tbsp oil
salt per taste
Direction:
Add oil in a pot and heat over medium heat. Once oil is heated, add cumin seeds and curry leaves.
After that, add onion, ginger paste and chili paste.
Once onions are slightly cooked, add mixed vegetables.
Cover and cook for 1-2 min.
Now, add yogurt, oats, salt and water.
Cover and cook for about 10 min (or until oats are cooked) stirring in between occasionally.
Garnish with cilantro (optional)
Serve hot

Note: adjust water per desired consistency.
