If you personally know me, you know how much I love blueberries. And if you don't know me and were to meet me for the first time, you would know my love for berries within 1 hour of meeting me! lol. I'm serious. Fun Fact about me: My husband calls me Shruberry sometimes Lol...I love all sorts of berries especially blueberries. There are countless benefits of eating blueberries plus it taste amazing so why would anyone not love it!?

I would advice everyone to buy Organic blueberries only because a lot of pesticides are used when farming berries (because even bugs can't resist it!). Read this article to find out 10 worst non-organic fruits. Conventional blueberries have up to 57 different pesticides (Yes, you read that right!). I usually get mine from Whole Foods.

Organic blueberries sometimes don't last more than a week and if you bought a lot (like sometimes I do if it is on sale), you can make healthier version of Blueberry Jam right at home. Just 2 ingredients and No Refined Sugar (NRS)! This is going to be probably my shortest recipe blog post.

Recipe for Blueberry Jam/Jelly:

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup Blueberries

  • 1/2 cup Maple Syrup

Direction:

  • In a sauce pan, let blueberries cook for about 5-10 minutes on low to medium heat while mixing occasionally.

  • Add Maple syrup and simmer for 10-15 min until desired thickness achieved

  • Your homemade Blueberry jam is ready!

This recipe makes about 1/2 cup or so (sorry I didn't measure the final product)

Note: Adjust maple syrup amount based on how sweet or sour your blueberry is.
